i think im beginning to like philosophy.. really. im not being sarcastic here.

the teacher just gets me into the philosophiliii mood. her golden hair, her grandmotherly face, her wrinkled smile and o-so-ladeylike gestures.. makes me feel like its more of a storytelling class then boring philosophy. i know i seem stalker-like observing her like tat. but i just love sweet looking old people. ;p



well wat i realy wanted to share here was the questions she raised in class. really gets u thinking.



ok this might be a bit boring. but i wanna rite it down anyway hihi~



neway she was storytelling away about Plato, a great greek philosopher who first started questioning our reality. (i think if we dint have tv sets and the internet.. we'd be thinking about every little abnormality in our lives as well.. just to pass the time~)

well he asked.. "what is the really real?" (according to russianglish) or in normal speaking language.. "what is the true real?"



Plato concluded tat we cant trust our senses coz all tat is an illusion. He thought up that the idea we first have is our true reality. And that the product of our idea is only a copy of our reality.

lemme put it this way. if u were a carpenter.. n u felt like making a table one day, u'd have to think up wat kinda shape, size or colour u'd want it to be. Therefore an IDEA (the true reality) pops up. This idea we make into a product. TADA ---- a table(the copy of this reality).



Now.. i bring in this painter.. n this painter wants to paint tat table.

Therefore...........

he is actually making a COPY of a COPY!!

wat is this crap.

but still if they dint think this up.. we might have never moved up in civilization. philosophy contributes to modernization in its own ways i guess.

Deepa-Raya Dance!

bloggie~ LONG TIME since my last post..

been sooo lazy. FULLSTOP.

lol. no excuse there.. will try harder to update on my boring life ;p

well next week i will be performing a sabahan cultural dance thingy for deepa-raya nite..

its actually rili kewl. we get to do magunatip dance.. which is in fact my dance. i say tat coz im murut.. hehe. Its a gud thing i brought wit me my murut traditional dress which i can use for tat nite (refer to an earlier post to which stars my dad making me bring tat dress)

rili tot i wudnt act wear it.. since its gonna be about 2-4degrees out later. i'd freeze my buttocks in it. its SLEEVELESS. ehe-he-he. yea.

omg.. im seeing purking lips rite now (i know u guys dunt know wat i mean.. but he insisted i add a sentence about him in my blog.. here u go darl. ur sentence ;D)

other than dat, student mass has been upgraded to 2 times a month now! wuhuu~ i really like attending these masses coz i actually understand them. (russian mass is very russian u see) and besides, the songs we sing reminds me so much of home. Last student mass was especially memorable for me.. im now the new commentator for mass because the usual one is graduating soon. And i also became psalmist with another girl last week, we were told to kinda sing a duet wit the psalms.. like in different tones or sumthing.. but i have a feeling.. agak hancur jg la.. but people were too nice to tell us. lol. then i also had to sing in the choir and play the tamborine.

talk about MULTI-TASKING. rasa macam org kuat church pla.. but its more like we lack man power. huha.

itsokay~ i enjoyed it. I act had to major tests the next day. Physiology n Psychology papers. But mayb it was coz God saw me singing my little throaty-toad-like lungs out for him (i still havent fully gotten my voice back from Acute Bronchitis the past few weeks.. hehe forgot to update tat) He decided to help me cancel my basketball practice n lecture the next day. Aint tat sweet of Him ^_^. so i managed to cram in 2 majors tat day.

oya! n Happy Deepavali friends ^_^... Love it! manage to escape a class today because of it. i suddenly became indian n needed to take the day off to go out for prayers. ngeh3... can feel my horns ody.

sit. i havent studied for philosophy.

oya, the other day in philo lec i went in a carefree life loving child.. and came out confused about my existence. the philo lecturer was teaching us about existence. she said..
"Students, we know tat we know we exist... but do animals know that they know?"
then she paused... letting us digest the question.
i kinda still understood her here... coz i've always wondered if animals question their existence as we humans do.
but then...
"but students, even if we know that we know... what is to know??"
then i was just.. lost.

it got a bit too philosophical for me then... owh well, i guess people in the old'n days just had to much time on their hands n dint know wat to do with it.. so they decided to start philosophy.

there are so many more weird2 things in philo. but i'll humor u sum other time. Now i really need to start on my philo readings about Anaxagoras. nows theres a familiar name ryte? ryte? Not.

sowie for no updates lately... its not tat i havent the time.. ive just been a lazy bum. hihi ^^

well im now back in russia~
i know wat ur thinking.. when did i get back to msia? hehe went into hibernation ryte after exams... brain just shut down n lay dormant till it had to be used agen here for my 2nd year..

darn~

Hols went by so fast... now im back after a whole 2 day journey back from msia. Took Korean airlines this time.. went from Sabah straight to Seoul for 4 hours... transited there for 5... took a 9 hour flight from there to Moscow.. then took a bas to Kursk for another 8hours.. TAKE THAT! felt like a piece of mold at the end of the journey... huhu~

well neways.. been here for 3 weeks + ody... schedule not as hectic an crazy as before.. but things are getting interesting.. Learning more about medicine now.. None of the basic crap nemore.. Nursing therapy teacher took us on a tour around the hospital@school as well.. talking to patients.. telling us to listen in on the conversation.. altho not getting most of wat they were saying... RUSSIANS talk so fast!

neway saw this guy wit so many operation scars on his body... i was so fascinated... x tau malu ni.. went right next to the teacher to stare at the scars.. but i guess my sakai mode was the right way to go.. coz those standing so far away from the bed were told to come closer..
well then as we were trying to listen in.. the teacher translated a bit to us.. saying tat tat guy had his right kidney taken out.. we just noded our heads in understanding... then she said his left kidney has stones in it.. we noded sumore.. then when the teacher pointed to a long deep scar from down his alba line from under his ribcage to the left of his umbilical, she said tat the man's spleen was taken out due to cysts and they manage to scrap the cysts off his intestines as well.. we all went "OOOOHH" in unison... the teacher quickly said "Without emotion pls students... without emotion" ;p haha
i guess we kinda creeped out the patient... one thing i learned.. is no matter how bad everything may seem.. we shudnt give any indication of it.. to not worry the patient.. Physchology of the patient may help in their healing too..

well.. tat was the most interesting thing so far in the hospital... *sigh*.. the rest is still clases as usual..

trw will be another quite relaxing day i hope...

inorganic chemistry done n over with... i dont think i did too well tho.. most of my calculations i only manage to do halfway.. but will be getting results trow ony.. neway another 2 papers to go! biophysics n organic chemistry.... with 3 days between both papers. wont make the same mistake i did for inorganic chem tho...
~situation~ 'too dissapointed with bio results the other day... felt all drained to continue studying'
but im all recharged n ready to go...
im so nerdy nowadays~ *sigh*

neways my aunty is getting married this august!! she chose the date just to wait for me to pulang first... wuhuu!~~ all my kazens will be returning home too at tat time... its going to be so fun catching up wit them... shud get her sumthing2 from here.. vodka? but i got her tat already for her engagement.. hurm.. need to find time to buy souveniers..

everyones sleeping ryte now.. nobody got enuf sleep last nite i guess.. i just woke up from a 3-hour slumber myself..

oyea... Russia lost 3-0 to Spain last nite.. hohoho~
act im not really into the Euro 2008... but since our whole hostel seemed to be screaming their lungs in dissapointment last nite.. i kinda found out all about the game.. (russian students live on the top floors)..
they were shouting 'RASSIA RASSIA!' followed by high-pitched screams... then cars were horning all tru the nite... from all the commotion i tot they had won n entered the finals.. up until i heard mass sobbing of the girls ryte above my floor... ahahaha.. sounded like a funeral.. but we all get emotional over football dont we..

Updates galore~

hey2 bloggie!

ever since my internet's been so sucky here the past few weeks.. i havent been able to update u on all thats happened so far...

1. we won BIG in Nizhny games!! WUHUUU~ netball being one of the gold medal contributers... we won 13 out of the 18 events held... now already 3 times in a row ksmu has won the title... which means... we get to keep the trophy! yeeepeee~~ have many2 more pics... but getting tat 1 little pic to upload.. *sigh* i'll just upload really2 important ones...

Nizhny Novgorad is beautiful by the way...

2. Had a Nizhny champion's bbq a few days after coming back.. i know i gained at least 3kg's from all tat meat.. yaiks~ imma be fatty2 gurl soon.. muahaha~ *sigh*

3. Ryte now im having my finals... ah! the stress! kill bio kill!! finally finish my bio n latin paper.. next paper is on friday.. inorganic chem... wish me luck! but i kinda feel i've ran out of steam for the exams... went full charged on bio last monday.. n i havent recovered since.. imagine reading parasitology,genetics,evolution n cytology in a span of 4 days... i know its all last minit.. but we finished syllabus just a a week before finals.. wth~

4. Im coming HOME soon! 17th july is my flight from Domodedova airport in moscow... 7 hour flight...then transitting in Dubai for 5 hours.. SHOP till i DROP.. then continue our 7 hour flight to lovely Malaysia...reaching on the 18th at 9:30pm...

but darn it.. some frends of mine manage to move up their flight to the 8th.. i wanna go home early too~ huhu.. already called my dad to check on flights.. *fingers crossed*

huhahuha.. got so much to say... so little time.. gotta study2 now... fridays exams!
