sowie lama nda update. i've just changed to unlimited internet!!! wuhuuu.. im loving it.

lol bloggie2... got so much to tell. but i'll start with the most recent activity of mine.

yesterday i cut aren's hair! muahahaha... (i have no experience watsoever btw... mayb from cutting my own fringe sumtimes tho)

him : laa di daa~ Here i am... happy n free. until i met.....

me : hmm.. pjg sdh rmbut dia nie. im sure cutting hair is not tat hard...

him : HER! gone is my long-lovely-silky-smooth-pantene-like hair~
note the fringe is now shorter.

me: eii.. we're on camera.. come2.. pose with ur fab new hairdo!

him: boo hoo~

me : wadya say?? wanna die is it??

him : i... i... i meant.. WUHUUU~!!!

me : tats a good boy...

him *traumatized for life*

im touched that he still went to class today despite my unprofesional haircut. i think it looks nice.. haha. its really fun tho. just cut according to your "FEEL".

mark n matt.. jaga la kamu when i get back home... se cukur rambut kamu sana jadi bulat2 trus.

Clueless wannabes

we r so clueless~ but yet...

today was so fun in Nursing Surgery class!

the teacher told us to take our sphygmanomometers n stethoscopes n go in pairs to a few patient wards to talk with patients.

IN RUSSIAN~

at least cikgu group lain kasi heads up on what to ask patients.. how we should interact n all.
sekurang-kurangnya kasi la tips2... ini tidak~

huhu...

we just went into the wards blindly... acting like we had did this a million times before. confident in our swagger, vibrating an air of confidence in each step.. yep.. until we had to open our mouth that is.

sana la kami tergagap2.

Me : Zdraztuitye. Kak y vas dila? (hello.. how r u today?) ini soalan standard yg kami blajar in russian tadika
Patient: Narmalna. (normal)
Me : Kak vas zavut? skolka vam let? (wats ur name? age?)
Patient : Sasha. pid-disiat vosim (Sasha. 58)
Me : kakoe y vas zhalobie? (what are ur complaints?)

n as i jot this down fervently, i find out that i've finished asking all the questions i thought wud take me at least 15 mins in 5 mins. sini sy sdh buntu pikiran.

Me : Praba... camana nie? apa lagi mo tanya??
Praba : errr err... gedye vasha bolit? (where is ur pain?)
our patient then points to his OBVIOUSLY amputated leg n says... "zdest" (here)

im sure we looked liked a couple of bimbos then, but we sorta ran out of questions too. lol. if only they spoke english or malay, i think we would have breezed through this.

Me: ok skarang apa lagi mo tanya ni prabha??
Praba : ok now we take his blood pressure n pulse la.

after we took his blood pressure and pulse... (my palms were a bit sweaty... i hope he dint notice lol) we then again stood in silence. we were suppose to talk about his life or sumthing with him.. but our limited command of russian left us stuttering to form sentences.

however he was very understanding n dint mind our inexperience. "study more" he told us.
we did continue to have more awkward moments with him as we talked in malay in front of him trying to figure out if we had missed anything. but the first time is always the biggest hurdle.

after sasha.. we walked out of the ward to find our groupmates having a hard time as we were. the next thing we knew, all of us was standing outside the ward discussing questions to ask the patients.

then we went in for a second round
we talked and measured the blood pressures of two others after Sasha..n it became a bit easier.
it was really fun too.

its funny how a simple act of taking somebody's blood pressure n being thanked profusely for it, made us feel special.

im hoping there will be more of these sorts of practices tho. practice makes for more confidence.

well... other than that,
im updating to say that...

WE'LL BE DANCING AGAIN!!~ WUHUU~
KENYALANG KINABALU IS BACK.

our group has been entered into the Student Festival Competition. its not just a performance this time. its a competition... uuu~ we're not expecting to win.. but it will be so much fun. plus we have modified the dance... and its looking preety cool..hohoho.

n the best part is~~~~~... that its this FRIDAY!... we only have 4 days to prepare!~~~ wuhuuuu (hint of sarcasm)

*gulp*

im actually freaking out.

lets hope for the best shall we.

Hey2 bloggie...

yesterday my groupmate girls n i (plus wenkie who we consider one of us.. hence we invited him to celebrate womans day too.. which he did whole-heartedly ^_^) went to eat at Chong's Sushi Place to celebrate Womans day...

i just LOVE sushi...
especially Unagi n salmon sushi.. n teriyaki chicken rice.. *drools*

anyway.. we dint expect 'lou dai' (our nickname for wenkie) to pay the whole dinner for us! wuhuuu~ ur the best. n for tat.. im posting ur picture here.. so swheet of him! :D n sumore he paid for the taxi ride... awwwww... must have left a big hole in ur pocket ryte.. lol

suddenly i felt bad tho.. coz we dint really get him anything for Mens Day. Yeebee n stacy cooked for him tho. but it wasnt from the whole group. but there's always next year :)

this is our 'lou dai'. Ex-leader of our group.. coz he lost his passport n came late for 2nd year.. n so Praba had to replace him. but thank God he wasnt held back a sem... if not.. who would spend us on Womans day?? *sniff* (just kidding)

Another 5 months to my motherland..

from the title.. its obvious.

im just feeling homesick agen.

WARNING! this post will be a bit emotional.

i WILL be posting old pics yg sdh lapuk but which struck a chord in me today. i even went as far as to Google Sabah online. sad i know.. but im just missing home.

well todays a holiday. its woman's day today in russia. its a really big thing here i suppose. everywhere u see people carrying a rose or two. if ur lucky... like our Microb teacher... u get a whole bouquet of flowers.


yes yes. we are trying to buy her affection..

she was extra nice to us afterwards tho. phew~

but its on days like this when u have nothing to do... except go tru a few old pics of home .. that i wish there was a foward button on time so i can quickly get my 5 more months here over n done with.

fyi, it should have been 4 more months had it not been the MMC made it compulsory to do our summer practicals here. grrrrr.... bullies~

n now i only have 1 month of hols in msia n the rest will be spent here.


apa2 la.. sy sdh redha... *rolling on the floor throwing a tantrum*

only means my holidays will be much more meaningfull this time around.

and who knows... i might get to go home during CNY's again! *hint2* hopefully my dad's reading.. ;p

Back from holidays

Heya bloggie!

im back from holidays! fuh~ it was a wonderful trip.

already planning for next years trip. Our pics of Vienna havent been transfered yet... but i'll upload it ASAP.

neway trw school starts... *weep2*

n according to my new schedule.. i have nursing surgery n physiology trw. hopefully the teachers wont start teaching straight away tho.. i think my brains still not functioning yet..

one good thing about this sem tho.. is tat its quite free.. at least i wont be coming home at 6.30pm in the evening anymore..

*sigh*

i think the fact that trw i'll be starting my old routine again.. has left me a bit depressed.

im also missing home ryte now.. coz i havent been online with my family for several days now.. the comp back home is under repair. n to sms home is about 3rubles now! wadahell la. used to be 0.05 kopeks or sumthing2 like tat.

now tat the currency is rm1 to 10rubles now.. you feel richer.

for a while that is..

until u hit the stores..

*gasp*

everythings increased in price as well.

they said starting from next week.. everything might increase by 4 rubles.. i guess the russian economy is going to the dogs as well as any other economy.

hurm.. anyway.. every now n then..

i think about how diff my life wud be if i was studying back home.

not tat i regret coming here... its just tat there are plenty of pros n cons to it.

one being away from family n friends..

especially since lately one friend of mine in my batch, received news that her father had just passed away suddenly... n she had been planning to come to Msia this winter holidays too.. but dint make it in time to say goodbye.

her pain became my pain.

i pray that i do not have to go tru such an incident here. she's now in msia n will probably miss a few weeks of classes. she's a church mate too. May God console her.

*sigh*

but lets not end this post on a sad note.

i do enjoy it here. wish it wasnt a 14 hour flight away from home tho.. ;p

anyway.. what if i dint come here? wat wud i be doing back home?

cooking? cleaning??

nah.. i'd probably b doing some Biotechnology course in UMS or sumthing.

its so much more exciting studying medicine tho. However i say this on a cheerful note still because i havent been tru 3rd year yet.. which is supposedly HELL.

i can therefore gurantee more depressing posts next year when im in 3rd year.

until then.. dont i look much better in a labcoat?
